He then graduated from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg in 1995. Upon graduating, he completed his residency at The Tampa Bay Heart Institute at Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, in 1998.
He is on staff at Smith Northview Hospital in Valdosta, Georgia, and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Dr. Bishop is board certified in family medicine through the American Osteopathic Association and is a member of the Georgia Osteopathic Medical Association and the Academy of Family Physicians. His interests in medicine include plant-based nutrition, emotional well-being, adolescent medicine, preventive medicine, dermatology, and osteopathic manipulation.
Dr. Bishop is married to his wife, Jennifer, and they have a daughter named Karly. Outside of work, his hobbies include golf and athletics.
